Report: Damian Lillard to Sign $120 Million Extension With Portland
The Portland Trail Blazers' thinking is simple — if we're going to lose one All-Star to free agency, we better wrap up the other long term.
Amid reports that All-Star power forward LaMarcus Aldridge likely will not re-sign with the Trail Blazers, the team is nearing a five-year extension worth upwards of $120 million with All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, as reported by ESPN.
The extension is set to kick in at the beginning of the 2016-17 season and will keep Lillard from being a free agent next summer.
