Melania Trump Won't Be Moving into the White House Home

Here's why she'll be staying in New York City.

Looks like Melania Trump won't be taking advantage of what residing at the White House has to offer.

According to the Post, the future first lady will not be moving to Washington D.C. once her husband Donald Trump is elected, and her reason is a direct reflection of the wealthy family's privilege.

As reported, the first lady-elect will not be moving to the White House because the Trump family does not want to interrupt their son Barron's education. The Trumps reportedly want their 10-year-old to continue attending his private school in the Upper West Side. His prep school tuition is said to be upwards of $40,000.

"Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign," a source close to Trump's transition team shared. "The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum."

Another source close to the transition team shared that Melania Trump will be traveling to D.C. whenever needed, but that her focus will remain on parenting her son.

Additionally, Mrs. Trump's decision to continue living in their Midtown home will result in an increase in the presence of security surrounding Trump Tower, a measure that will involve both the Secret Service and the NYPD.

A source also shared that Melania Trump is "really devoted to Barron," adding that she has not relied on nannies to raise the child. The pair may relocate to D.C. following the school year, but at this time, there are no official plans to move.
