O.T. Genasis Responds To Keyshia Cole After She Picks 21 Savage In Their R&B Sing-Off Battle
While the Internet was collectively disappointed by the postponement of Teddy Riley and Babyface’s highly-anticipated Instagram battle, an unlikely hero emerged to steal the show on Sunday (April 5).
Atlanta’s 21 Savage hopped on an Instagram Live where he put on impromptu karaoke-esque sessions of R&B classics. He belted his heart along while some of his favorite cuts such as Beyoncé’s “Me, Myself and I,” Usher’s“Let It Burn,” and Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down” played. He even attempted a falsetto during his rendition of Pharrell’s Jay Z-assisted “Frontin” and performed an admirable cover of Keyshia Cole’s “Love.” In lieu of Teddy Riley and Babyface’s match, R&B lovers found themselves thoroughly entertained by his charming renditions of the songs.

21 Savage’s IG show must’ve brought back some memories for O.T. Genasis as the rapper chimed in with his impression. “[21 Savage], you have a beautiful voice, bro,” O.T. wrote on his Instagram Stories. “I say we have a sing-off.” The Shade Room picked up the interaction and propositioned their 18 million followers for their thoughts on who they believed would emerge victorious from the sing-off. Interestingly enough, a familiar face of O.T.’s entered the chat to cast her vote as well. His former social media foe, Keyshia Cole, whom he clashed with over his cover of “Never Knew,” slid in TSR’s comments to toss her support behind 21. O.T. caught wind of the shade and playfully clapped back with a warning for Cole to not “start with [him] again.”
It looks like we could be preparing for quite a few social media face-offs this week.
