Toni Braxton Reveals How Her Family Drama Nearly 'Messed Up' Her Relationship

And the crucial ultimatum Birdman gave her before 2018 is over.

Wedding bells between R&B-soul icon Toni Braxton and her Cash Money Records boss fiancé Birdman will be ringing sooner than we expected, according to her recent visit on The Wendy Williams show.

Toni’s been on a 2018 high all year with her hip-hop beau, celebrating a fabulous 51st birthday in Miami with him and sporting a gorgeous rock he bestowed upon her for their engagement. It would seem, then, that the lovebirds are right on track to arrive at their big day when they finally say, “I do.” But amid the Braxton family conflict, she explained to the gossip television hostess, Toni admitted that it’s been somewhat difficult to nail down a date for the wedding. Under even more pressure, the clock is ticking down for her to do so now that Baby’s given her a tight deadline for their nuptials.

  • She began by explaining that they actually had two dates in mind for the wedding

But at the time, she was filming Braxton Family Values. At first, she believed that wedding should happen sooner than later as a means to reunite her sisters back together. Unfortunately, she continued, she couldn’t get that reunification as she hoped she would nor did she think the wedding would fix the existing issues. In fact, pushing the wedding so soon with the objective to gather the Braxton sisters ran the risk of jeopardizing her relationship as well.

  • ‘I said the wedding is not a good reason because it’s messing up my relationship a little bit,’ she said

“He's was like come on Michelle set a date.”

The New Orleans hip-hop icon calls her by her middle name, she further elaborated, adding that she has “a couple weeks” to decide, according to his deadline.

We’ve got faith in you, Toni.

See her explain the situation in The Wendy Williams clip below.
