Mike Tyson’s Emotional Tribute to His Daughter Ahead of Jake Paul Match
As Mike Tyson prepares for his highly anticipated fight against Jake Paul, the boxing icon is set to pay a personal tribute to his late daughter, Exodus Sierra Tyson. According to USA Today, Tyson will wear custom boxing trunks with her name stitched in them.
The match, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 15, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, marks the 58-year-old’s first bout since 2020. The trunks, explicitly designed to honor Exodus’ memory, were created in collaboration with BYLT Basics. “The name of his late daughter, Exodus Sierra Tyson, is stitched onto the bottom front corner in white lettering,” said BYLT spokesperson Robert Pursell, who confirmed Tyson has been wearing the tribute trunks during workouts.
Alongside Exodus’ name, the trunks feature an American flag on the left leg, the Tyson company logo on the waistband, and the BYLT logo on the right thigh.
Exodus tragically passed away in 2009 at the age of 4 after a treadmill cord became wrapped around her neck in what police described as a “tragic accident.” Her brother, then 7, found her in their Arizona home, which Tyson shared with the children’s mother. Tyson, who now has six children, has spoken openly in interviews about the grief and pain of losing Exodus.
The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight will stream worldwide on Netflix, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
