Master P Responds to Kidnapping Claims

Rap mogul denies abducting children, posts video from ex-wife's house.

Master P has proof that he didn't abduct his four children, as his ex-wife, Sonya Miller, claimed in her request for an emergency custody order Wednesday (April 9).

The New Orleans native, born Percy Miller, is denying the abduction story with a video he says is shot from Sonya's kitchen. The footage was posted on AllHipHop.com Thursday with the children — Italy, Tytyana, Hercy and Mercy — appearing in the clip.

"I'm here with my kids," the No Limit Records founder says. "They mom said that I abducted them, I kidnapped them…We at her house, we not at my house."

The 43-year-old pans around the room asking the brood if they want to leave with him or stay with their mother and maintains that he's "not kidnapping" them. Three of the four want to leave with him, while Master P goes on to say that he "loves" Sonya and wants her to "be successful," but "can't change her."

Then the children speak up. "I wanna stay with my dad to get better for myself, not for you or mom, for myself," says daughter Tytyana, 17. "I think mom should understand that."

Next, his 13-year-old son, Hercy, calls the mother a "bad influence," telling his dad, "When I 'm with you, you teach me to do what's right." Another son, Mercy, says that Sonya takes him to school late.

The lone standout in the bunch is 14-year-old Italy, who chose to stay with her mom.

Throughout the footage, Master P implies that his estranged wife may be battling addiction, as he has said in the past, and reiterates that he loves the children. It is unknown where his ex was during the filming.

Sonya filed for divorce from Master P last October, after 24 years of marriage. She has also accused the multimillionaire of abandoning his children and forcing her to get on welfare.

Master P and the couple's eldest son, Romeo, released a statement refuting her allegations.
