Antonique Smith to Headline Music Matters Showcase
It's almost spring time and, though the snow is still falling in NYC, BET Music Matters is blossoming with fresh talent. Antonique Smith, best known for her work on the big screen and on Broadway, will headline the March 11th showcase at S.O.B.'s.
In addition to her work in films like Abduction and Notorious (she played the role of Faith Evans), Antonique has co-written songs with big time producers like Dr. Dre and Danjahandz and is currently working on her debut album, which will feature her hit single, "Speechless." The crowd is surely in for a treat as the sultry songstress will be performing some of her new material.
Also performing that night will be Bridget Carrington, whose latest hit, "Mama's Boy" featuring Life Dutchee, has already generated a substantial Internet buzz; and the extra-dapper singer/songwriter P. Murray [Note: If you're joining the online convo for the event, be sure to use the hashtag #mmshowcase].
The show starts at 8:00pm with DJ Lyve and Max October behind the tables warming things up. Admission is free, but space is limited, so don't be too late and don't forget to bring your ID, this event is 21 and over.
