Chris Brown’s "F.A.M.E." Tops Billboard Charts

R&B crooner soars to No. 1 spot on music charts.

Chris Brown got some much-needed good news today, as his new album F.A.M.E. has entered the Billboard Top 200 charts at No. 1. Selling 270,000 copies in its first week, the album is Brown's first chart-topper since his 2007 LP, Exclusive.
F.A.M.E., Brown’s fourth album, was bolstered by hit singles "Yeah 3x" and "Look at Me Now," featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. Last week, the 21-year-old star made headlines when he reportedly smashed a window backstage at ABC's Good Morning America in an outburst after being questioned about his 2009 domestic violence incident with ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown took to Twitter last night to credit his fans for making the album a success: "I wanna thank all of my fans for making my album number 1 in the country!! I love you! We did it," he tweeted.
Other artists debuting on this week's chart include Jennifer Hudson, whose second album, I Remember Me, claimed the No. 2 spot with 165,000 copies sold. Further down the line, Atlanta rap heavyweight Gucci Mane's street album Return of Mr. Zone 6 debuted at No. 18 with 24,500 units sold, and Pharoahe Monch came in at No. 55 with his third solo effort, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), which moved 9,622 units.
