Damn, Olivia: People Are Dragging The ‘Scandal’ Finale On Twitter

It’s hard to say goodbye.

After seven seasons, Scandal, the television drama that arguably initiated the now widespread "live tweeting" craze, has come to an end.

Shonda Rhimes' monster series from her prestigious #TGIT lineup has said goodbye to its Gladiators, for good. However, the majority of those who expressed their opinions on the series finale on social media weren't pleased with the way everything was tied together in the series' closing moments.

The Kerry Washington-led drama's final season came with a series of twists and turns that loyal viewers had hoped would lead to an earth-shattering climax or revelation in the final episode. However, as many of the viewers explained in their tweets, many questions were left unanswered and desires weren't met to their liking as Olivia Pope said goodbye.

See what they all had to say, below:

Regardless of how the finale was received, one thing that can never be taken away or discounted is Scandal's indelible stamp in history. It stands as one of the first major prime-time series to star a female lead and unapologetically ushered in and articulated thought-provoking dialogue and button-pushing topics.

We salute you, Shonda, and the entire Scandal family for six years of quality television!
