Usher Celebrates Girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea’s Birthday

The couple shares two kids together.

Happy birthday to Usher’s favorite Libra!

Over the weekend, the “GLU” singer posted a sweet message in honor of his girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea's    birthday, as reported by PEOPLE. The post also included a couple of frames from the couple and a moment when she attended what appears to be a dance rehearsal with the singer while holding their 3-year-old baby girl, Sovereign Bo.

“I couldn’t ask for a better partna. Happy birthday my love,” he wrote in the caption of the message.

The duo were first spotted together in June 2019. In addition to Sovereign Bo, they are also parents to Sire Castrello, 2. The singer is also the dad to his two oldest sons, Usher "Cinco," 16, and Naviyd Ely, 14, with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.

During his Las Vegas residency over the summer, the Grammy winner gave Goicoechea a shout during the last show of the season. When Usher spotted her in the audience, he uttered, "My GOAT... my love, Jenn."

Although Usher is glowing in love these days, getting here hasn’t been easy. Last month, he admitted to Vibe that being single was a challenge.

“I think the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do was be single,” he told the outlet.

The crooner said that’s, "Because I don't like to be alone," he explained. "The idea of creating a life with someone is what I would like to do, maybe because I didn't have or didn't see that. And I get to remedy that idea by having an incredible partnership. I can then have the thing that I ultimately wanted to see. You know what I'm saying?"

In order to put his heart out there again, Usher had to confront his past, especially the areas where he has endured private pain.

“Man, healing took a lot,” he explained to the outlet.

“Maybe I was suffering a lot from—just maybe not necessarily having the kind of love that I would’ve wanted as a kid. And wanting to figure out what that was all about. I didn’t have that relationship that I would’ve wanted to have with my father. And that the relationship that I had with my mother was slowly beginning to be under pressure. Because one, we were working together. Two, we had our differences. Three, I was getting older, but I think it was just life lessons. The therapy really did help me be able to be by myself.”
