Tia Mowry recently addressed why her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, wasn’t informed about her new reality show, “Tia Mowry: My Next Act,” which premiered earlier this month. 

In an interview published by AP News on October 11, the topic came up when the reporter referenced a previous interview Tamera did with Entertainment Tonight in May. During that interview, Tamera revealed she learned about her sister's show along with the rest of the world, which left some fans curious.

When asked why she didn’t tell her sister about the project, Tia downplayed the situation, explaining that it wasn’t a big deal. “That’s normal. I mean, do you tell your brother and your sister everything?” she said, adding, “It doesn’t mean anything. There’s nothing loaded. She’s living her life. I’m living my life. We don’t have to tell each other everything, and that’s very normal.”

As previously reported by BET, concerns about the twins’ relationship had already surfaced earlier when a sneak peek of “Tia Mowry: My Next Act” was released last month. In the preview, Tia emotionally opened up about feeling lonely following her 2023 divorce from Cory Hardrict. She reflected on the distance between her and Tamera, admitting, “It's times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close, and I could, you know, pick up the phone and call her. But that's just not where we are right now."

However, Tia later clarified in an interview with Us Weekly that her comments referred more to the physical distance between her and Tamera, not any deeper issues in their relationship.
