Whatever your thoughts on the current state of the nation’s politics, there are still reasons to rejoice. The latest: Yesterday (January 3), Kamala Harris made major history. She was sworn in as the first Indian-American to ever serve in the United States Senate, and she became only the second Black woman to hold the job. She follows Carol Moseley Braun, who represented Illinois in the Senate from 1993 to 1999.
