Did Diddy really propose to his longtime girlfriend Cassie via Instagram? That’s what everyone’s been trying to figure out after the Bad Boy mogul posted this picture of a gigantic diamond ring captioned, "Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like! I just wanna Mk you smile :)" Cassie responded, "It's perfect!"

Not too long after the IG post, Keyshia Cole posted a picture with Cassie happily sporting the ring. This isn’t the first time Cassie’s been caught with a rock on her ring finger, though. Last month during the Golden Globes awards ceremony, the couple posted some pics on Instagram where Cassie seems to be sporting the same ring.

This time, however, social media was ablaze with speculation, some questioning whether the whole thing is just a hoax. Or, if it's like Diddy said, something to make her smile. The couple has reportedly been seeing each other since 2007, but has been extremely secretive about their relationship until recently.

If it is a proposal, it's not the grand one one would expect from a jet-setting, Ciroc-sipping, hip hop millionaire, but according to a source in Diddy's camp it wasn’t a proposal at all. "They are not engaged," a rep told the Daily Mail.

Neither Diddy nor Cassie has responded to the reports of their engagement as yet.
