What Would LeBron James Do to Play With Joe Johnson?
But this... is a little too much.
Disappointed that Joe Johnson chose the Miami Heat instead of his Cleveland Cavaliers after being bought out by the Brooklyn Nets late last month, King James might have taken things a bit far in explaining how badly he wanted the small forward.
"All I care about is winning. That's all that matters to me," James told Cleveland.com on Wednesday. "A piece like Joe, you know what it does to your team and if he was concerned about playing time or concerned about starting, then I'll sacrifice. I'll sacrifice to get a guy like that to help us try to win a championship.
"Man listen, I'll do anything to win," he continued. "I'll kidnap my mama to win."
Wait... what?
We get it. You want another NBA title badder than Johnny Manziel wants to party. But can you say ssstretch?
Chill with that kidnapping talk.
Hey, perhaps James feels the pressure of the Heat acquiring Johnson because Miami, with his former teammate Dwyane Wade, might be the only significant roadblock in his Cavs' quest to return to the NBA Finals.
Hmm...
Anyhow, the kidnapping his mama reference is a little over the top.
