50 Cent Wants to Drop Two Albums

Despite delays with fifth studio album, 50 Cent is already talking about delivering his sixth.

50 Cent hasn't released an album since 2009, but the G-Unit General says he wants to come back in a big way. Speaking to Forbes magazine, Fif said he'd like to release his fifth and sixth albums in quick succession.

"This time I'm not sure I'll tour the world like I did on my last project because it makes my album cycles two years long," he said. "I think I'd like to launch this record and come back and launch another record following it because it's been three years since my last album, so I've recorded so much material that I'm really excited about trying to get those ideas to the public so they get a chance to hear it and appreciate it."

50 acknowledged that in today's environment, fans have come to expect music released on a faster timeline.

"I kinda think you have to keep the audience engaged a little more [these days]," he said. "There's a lot of new material that comes out. But it's not from established artists."

Previously, 50 said that with his new album he's looking to recapture the hip hop that he fell in love with. After a long-running battle with his record label Interscope Records over creative issues with his still-untitled fifth album, he released a much-publicized new mixtape, The Big Ten last month.
