Toya Carter On Men, Love and Parenting

The reality star also insists her daughter isn't too "grown."

In Toya Carter’s cover story with Rolling Out magazine, the divorcée and single mother shared her thoughts on the roles men and women play in relationships. When it comes to women, she says many enter into relationships with the wrong expectations, explaining, “A lot of women didn’t grow up with the affection from their dad. So, when they find a man, they expect that man to give that to them.”

As for the effectiveness of that approach, Toya added, “They throw themselves on a man all the time and say, I got him. That [doesn't] work.”

When it comes to men, Toya kept it plain: “Men have to be more respectful.”

Toya also had words for those who say her daughter with Lil’ Wayne, Reginae, is “too grown.” On whether or not her young daughter is “grown,” Toya noted: “When you have kids at a young age, your kids tend to grow up with you. So, as I was learning, she was learning, which is why she is wise beyond her years.”
