People Are Sickened By GOP Congressman Who Defended White Terrorism Saying Good Things Came Out of the Charleston Church Shooting
On Tuesday, Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy spoke in an interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota about President Trump's immigration ban. While Duffy backed up the ban as a useful way to make sure that America is protected by terrorists, Camerota asked the representative about acts of terror performed by white people.
President Trump has still not made a statement nor tweeted about the attack against Muslims that occurred in Quebec City. When Camerota asked Duffy about what can be done to stop acts of terror by white extremists, the congressman said those cases are different.
“You don’t have a group like ISIS or al Qaeda that is inspiring people around the world to take up arms and kill innocents. That was a one-off. That was a one-off, Alisyn,” Duffy said.
During the interview, Camerota pressed Duffy to explain why the president does not address white terrorism
Camerota then questioned Duffy about the Charleston Church shooting
CAMEROTA: How about Charleston, congressman? He was an extremist. He was a white extremist?
DUFFY: Yes, he was. OK?
CAMEROTA: How about that? That doesn’t matter?
DUFFY: No, it does matter. It does matter. Look at the good things that came from it. Nikki Haley took down the Confederate flag, that was great.
But you want to say I can give you a couple of examples. There’s no constant threat that goes through these attacks. And you have radical Islamic terrorists and ISIS that are driving the attacks, and if you want to compare those two, maybe you can throw another one ―
CAMEROTA: You can.The congressman used a tragedy that took the lives of nine black individuals to point out the 'good things' that happened as a result
