Black TV Anchor Throws A-Plus Shade At His White Colleague Over The Chicken Sandwich War
Popeyes' new chicken sandwich has taken over America. With the new menu item being a top trending topic for more than a week now, everyone from social media — even the hashtag #PopeyesVsChickFilA is gaining traction — to the local news has been chiming in.
One of the TV programs to feature the recent fast food craze is pop culture show Daily Blast Live. A co-host threw some crispy shade at his colleague while they conducted a hilarious taste test.
Al Jackson, the only Black member on the four-person panel during that episode, had some words for his co-host Jeff Schroeder after they all took a bite.
"That's seasoning," Schroeder said while giving the Popeyes sandwich a nod of approval, to which Jackson hilariously responded, "Does that taste like a neighborhood you've never been to?"
DEAD.

After seeing the video, Twitter user and journalist Ashlee Marie Preston predicted that Black Twitter was going to be all over this one...
...and she was right. See the incredible reactions to Jackson and Schroeder's exchange, below:
