Gucci Mane Isn’t Entertaining A Verzuz Battle Unless There’s ‘A Million’ On The Table
As Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s highly-popular virtual battle series remains a go-to source of entertainment during the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of artists have been jockeying for the chance to show off their catalog. The Instagram-based series reached new heights after Swizz and Beatz struck an exclusive partnership with Apple Music in July.
Since then, we’ve seen classic battles between Snoop Dogg and DMX, Brandy and Monica, and Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight. And that was only the first season. Season 2 is already on its way with the opening match already set as T.I. against Jeezy in what is sure to be a legendary matchup on Nov. 19.
However, many people have been calling for another Atlanta legend to appear on the platform as well: Gucci Mane. Guwop finally addressed his fan’s pleas on Thursday (Oct. 29). Taking to Twitter, he made it clear that he had no interest in participating in Verzuz, unless he is handsomely compensated.
"Stop asking me about doing a @verzuzonline battle unless they got a million dollars they scared of Wop #GuccimaneVsWhoever” he issued. Naturally, the prospect had many of his followers excited, and they quickly chimed in to offer up suggestions for potential opponents.
See his tweet and reactions to it below.
