Usher Teases New Music Video For Latest Single ‘Boyfriend’ Featuring Keke Palmer
It appears that Usher got it bad for Keke Palmer.
On Tuesday (August 15), the legendary R&B crooner announced on Instagram that his latest track and music video for "Boyfriend" is slated to drop August 16, with a special cameo from Palmer.
In the post, Usher shared a teaser and it is hot! The multi-Grammy winner is seen strolling down a dimly lit hallway while wearing an unbuttoned black shirt, a pair of sunglasses, multiple gold necklaces and a bottom grill mouthpiece. Immediately following that frame, Palmer is looking at herself in a vanity mirror with large bulbs, while wearing jumbo silver hoop earrings. Fans of the star will also notice she is rocking the same new hairstyle that features blue highlights that she recently shared a snap of on the same outlet.
As Palmer’s frame fades, Usher’s smooth voice begins to sing lyrics that have caused eyebrows to be raised, in a good way.
“Somebody said that your boyfriend’s looking for me.” he belted out as a new sequence begins of Palmer walking down a hallway.
In the caption of the post, Usher wrote, “When fantasies become reality…”
It appears that Usher is riding the wave of that viral moment in Vegas when Palmer attended his residency. During that night out with her friends, she rocked a sheer black dress that caused her boyfriend, Darius Jackson –whom she shares a son with– to post a now deleted tweet, "It's the outfit tho...you a mom." in response to her attire. In that show, Usher also serenaded the actress while she stood in the audience. Jackson deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts on July 5, but restored them a day later.
Earlier this month, Usher talked to PEOPLE about that moment in Vegas and dubbed it a "a pop moment" and "worth talking about."
"I think everybody's vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas. And that's what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song," he told the outlet.
He continued, “Every night I'm thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I'll have with whoever I'm choosing to sing to. But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going and we just keep it light. I don't see anything negative happening in Las Vegas."
