Game: I Wanted to Kill 50 Cent

Game opens up about past beef with his one-time rival 50 Cent.

Game is known for being on of hip hop's most volatile personalities, however the latest episode of VH1's docu-series Behind the Music peels away at the many layers of the Compton rapper's personality, exposing the method behind his madness.

In the show, which debuted Thursday night (March 22), Game gave viewers a candid look into his troubled past and chronicled his rise to fame. Most notably, the former G-Unit member discussed the depths of his well-publicized feud with 50 Cent, which he claims could've had a very tragic ending.

"50 didn't write my songs, that's just his ego rising above the team aspect of what Aftermath was all about," Game said in response to 50's claim that he wrote a majority of the material on Game's debut The Documentary. "I could easily say, 'Yo, I wrote this song on Get Rich or Die Tryin' ,' it was a team effort… I wanted to kill him and I thought there was a strong possibility that I would die. I thought that 50 and I where the modern Tupac and Biggie."

Though things have since cooled between the two rap powerhouses, they have not quite kissed and made up. But Game left the door open for a chance at reconciling with Fif.

"Justin Bieber taught me never say never," Game joked.

Game also opened up about his father's physical abuse of his mother and sexual abuse of his sister. The producers wove the details of the abuse into a narrative that highlighted the depression and abandonment Game felt when his beef with 50 Cent caused Dr. Dre to turn his back on the young rapper. It also provided explanation as to why Game originally proposed to abruptly end his career after his third album, LAX, so that he could focus on parenting.

This latest special on Game was just one in a series of new episodes in this latest season of Behind the Music, which will chronicle the lives of other hip hop artists, including T-Pain and Nas.
