For Listeners Only:
Real hot girl s**t is setting the summer off right as Megan Thee Stallion gets into her entrepreneur-musician bag with the official video for “Plan B.” The Casey Cadwadaller and John Miserendino co-directed visual was done in collaboration with French fashion house Mugler and finds the Queen of H-Town delivering her purest and fiercest bars over the iconic sample of Jodeci’s “Freek’n You (Remix),” which featured the Wu-Tang Clan. While adorned in custom Mugler looks, the new video comes as Meg prepares for her transcontinental trek across Europe.
Capella Grey’s “Gyalis” isn’t fading from outside anytime soon as the Bronx R&B sensation drops the official “Shemix” to his super-smash hit single. Originally released as a captivating yet impromptu live performance via Chlöe’s Instagram, the video quickly garnered over 3 million views and became a viral hit with stars like Fivio Foreign, SZA, and Tracee Ellis Ross all literally singing its praises. With the streets demanding this collaboration, Chlöe and Capella give the people what they want — risqué bars over that classic “Back That Azz Up” beat by Mannie Fresh and Juvenile.
More than just your favorite TV cousin on Bel-Air, rising R&B songstress Coco Jones is coming for all the acclaim with her sultry song called, “Caliber,” which is out via High Standardz and Def Jam Recordings. Produced by The Aunties, “Caliber” is Jones articulating to audiophiles the core of who she is. With her mission to be intimate and direct with listeners clearly stated, Jones’ unique ability to use confidence to turn ears in her direction is just the reason why you should add her forthcoming debut EP to your pre-release download queue now.
Special Mentions: There is also some exceptionally dope work from the likes of Jack Harlow feat. Drake (“Churchill Down”), Big Moochie Grape (“Uncut & Raw”), Swifty Blue feat. D Smoke (“Preguntas”), Tanna Leone (“Picasso”), and Big K.R.I.T. (“Rhode Clean”) that you cannot afford to miss.
Watch The Streams:
Katori Hall’s Mississippi Delta strip club drama, P-Valley, returns with much acclaim and excitement from longtime (and new) fans. Set during the height of the COVID pandemic, Uncle Clifford, Mercedes, Autumn, and all your favorites must contend with ideating new ways to make money amidst those restrictions and a summer full of racial injustice issues and protests. Be sure to check out all of BET.com’s exclusive P-Valley Season 2 coverage here, here, and here.
The WWE’s biggest and most hardcore warriors face off in the squared circle for this weekend’s Hell in a Cell PPV happening just outside of Chicago. As one of the wrestling company’s most iconic showings, each match will take place inside this unforgiving structure and promises to create memorable moments that will live on in WWE history forever. With a loaded card on the books, the must-see matches on June 5 are Bianca Belair versus Asuka versus Becky Lynch for the Raw women’s championship, Bobby Lashley versus Omos, and Seth Rollins taking on Cody Rhodes.
If you’re excited about all things Marvel, then be sure to add Ms. Marvel to your watchlist. Despite the June 8 run date, some internet sleuths are able to see the first two episodes of the new six-episode series ahead of schedule. Starring Iman Vellani as the MCU’s first Muslim superhero, the show will take us on a journey to see her develop her powers and become a breakout new member in Nia DaCosta’s The Marvels, which will hit theaters on July 28, 2023.
