Busta Rhymes to Headline 2012 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival
Plans for the 8th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival are in full swing with rap legend Busta Rhymes (and Friends), named as the headliner, according to All Hip Hop. The week-long event includes panels, emcee battles, concerts and so much more.
Last year "Q-Tip and Friends" headlined. The "Friends" turned out to be Black Thought, Kanye West and Busta so it's anyone's guess whom he will bring out to share the stage. But given that he recently signed to Young Money and has recorded hits with everyone from Chris Brown and Mary Blige to Diddy and Janet Jackson, this show could be full of great surprises. In addition to the concert and other festivities, the event will also include a film festival and after-party along with a special tribute to Brooklyn native Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys who passed away from cancer on May 4.
The festival will take place July 9-14. For tickets and additional information go to bkhiphopfestival.com.
