Will Smith Slaps Kissy Reporter and Raps on British Talk Show
Don't get fresh with the Fresh Prince.
Will Smith layed the smack-down on a pushy reporter from the Ukraine, who tried to kiss him on the lips. Vitalii Sediuk, a reporter from the Ukrainian television channel 1+1, accosted Smith on the red carpet of the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3.
"C'mon man, what the hell is your problem buddy?" Smith said as he pushed the inappropriate journalist away and slapped him lightly across the cheek with the back of his left hand. "He's lucky I didn't sucker punch him," a clearly agitated Smith said to the crowd. "Oh, I said that on camera. It's all good."
Later, Smith had better luck with his appearance on the Graham Norton Show in England. After admitting he is still best known around the world for the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smith took it back to the 1990s with the audience and they jointly rapped the entire lyrics to the show's famous theme song.
“That is the thing I am most known for, no matter how big the movies get,” Smith said of the hit show, which aired for six seasons from 1990 to 1996. His co-star Alfonso Ribeiro recently revisited his own character by instigating the world's largest flash mob to the Carlton Dance.
Men in Black 3 opens this Friday in theaters everywhere. Hopefully the rest of Smith's promotional tour goes smoothly.
