In an interview with Vanity Fair, Iggy Azalea sets the record straight on why she believes she is criticized so harshly. In the process, she compares herself to Eminem and Elvis Presley, saying that she isn't the first white artist to do "Black music."

When asked if she thought it was strange for a white Austrailan girl to become a rapper, she said, "Well, I never thought it was strange. If you go back to the Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley and Eminem — they've all basically done Black music. I felt this wasn't that far from what we've seen in music history over and over again."

Due to this very reason, the "Beg for It" vocalist has received a slew of criticism from both her contemporaries and audiences alike, including public remarks from Azealia Banks and Q-Tip.

Now that the dust has settled, she reveals the real reason she thinks everyone is so hard on her: "Well, they don't say that stuff about Macklemore. So, yes, I think it has 100,000 percent to do with the fact that I have a vagina."

Also in the interview, Azalea speaks on her relationship with boyfriend Nick Young, how "Fancy" changed her life and her officially declaring twerking to be dead.
