Chance the Rapper Drops 'No Better Blues'

Chicago spitter's new track runs through everything he hates.

Chance the Rapper has a new track with his group the Social Experiment where he just about hates everything. The Chicago spitter’s “No Better Blues” is more of a poem to music than a full-fledged rap and it mixes his trivial dislikes with his hatred for “inflation,” “the war,” “the news,” “the poor,” “the government” and more.

The song is partially satirical, according to Chance’s tweets explaining a verse where he says, “I hate white people.” His intended message apparently got lost in translation. “I don’t hate white people,” he tweeted. “I said, 'I hate racist’ right before that. ... I hate having to explain pieces because it takes away from the wonder and the reward of deciphering code. But this one is pretty simple, it’s satire.”

“No Better Blues” already made it to No. 2 on the Billboard Trending 140 chart. The track was released as part of Twitter’s Audio Card service, which allows for users to stream music directly form their Twitter timelines via iPhone and Android devices.
