Pharrell Will Carry a Purse – But Only If It's Chanel
It's no secret that Pharrell is chic AF. Karl Lagerfeld once revealed in an interview that Pharrell had a penchant for remaking Chanel's costume jewelry pieces with real gemstones ($$) in an act that flattered KL. He's just so on-brand that the French fashion house selected him to be the FIRST dude to ever appear in a Chanel handbag ad.
In the short, P messes around in what appears to be a music venue, including balancing on a lighting frame, when he is approached by a mute little boy who holds up his hand to reveal "GABRIELLE" written in calligraphy. Gabrielle, Coco Chanel's real name, is also the name of the brand's newest bag, which this ad is promoting. Pharrell rocks the over-the-shoulder bag, which Karl previously said was inspired by VR goggles.
Dudes, are you down to wear a purse? I mean, when it's Chanel you can't really go wrong.
