However, the day took an unexpected turn for four-star wide receiver Jacob Copeland when his mother appeared to disapprove of his decision.
During the signing, Jacob sat at a table with three hats before him, one Florida, one Alabama, and one Tennessee. Surrounding the athlete were members of his family who wore apparel for either Alabama or Tennessee. Despite the assumption that he would be committing to one of those schools, Jacob surprisingly lifted the Florida hat, indicating that he had committed to be a Gator.
