With Nate Parker’s rape allegations still front and center and Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump's assertion that famous men can "grab [women] by the pu**y, it’s clear that we need to have a better understanding of consent, respecting women’s bodies and masculine privilege. One comedy writer is using 90’s R&B and humor to help get us there.

Phil Jackson, who writes for “Key and Peele” and “Brooklyn 99,” recently dropped his "Sexually Enlightened R&B Song" on College Humor’s website—and trust us when we say it’s everything. Jackson, who gives you a total Jodeci vibe and some serious body rolls, turns the genre on its head by nixing the whining and misogyny and instead infuses empowering lyrics about what sex between adults should actually be like--one of mutual respect and equality.

Jackson hilariously sings that he “won’t be like those other guys,” and then goes on to sing, “sex is a conversation, not a lecture” and that he wants “get freaky but on your terms.”

Yaasss!

He also makes it clear that his bedroom is a slut-shaming free zone.

“Damn, you really do it like a pro, but your experience don't make you a ho.”

The lyrics also touch upon the importance of reciprocity during sex, how porn creates unattainable beauty standards for women and how relationships are not about ownership, but partnership.
