Meghan Markle And Prince Harry: The Buzz on Possible Baby Girl Names
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seemingly are narrowing down on possible baby names for their baby girl!
According to People, a few possible names could be in the running now, based on past conversations that Markle and Harry have had in recent years. In 2019, the couple was visiting the town of Birkenhead when the Duchess of Sussex was pregnant with Archie; after speaking with a student, one name stood out, that she might name a little girl if he had one.
“I asked her whether she would call her baby Amy if she has a girl, and she said, 'That's a really pretty name, I like it. We'll have to think about it,” the student, Megan Dudley, told reporters.
Harry reportedly was fond of the name Lily at the same encounter while visiting Birkenhead, People reports.
Back in 2018, the couple took a trip to Melbourne and met with a fan whose baby’s name was Harriet. Markle later told Sunday Express, a U.K. outlet, that Harry liked the name.
Other names that have topped the predictions list include Diana, paying homage to Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, and Elizabeth, after his grandmother, the Queen. After the death of Prince Philip in April, the U.K. site Ladbrokes has seen the prediction of Philippa climbing the charts as well, People writes.
According to oddschecker.com, Elizabeth, Alice, Grace, and Florence are the top bets on the names royal watchers think Markle and Harry will name their baby girl.
