Rihanna’s Madame Tussauds Statue Makes Amsterdam Debut
Rihanna recently made her wax debut in Amsterdam after the famous Madame Tussauds Amsterdam unveiled its newest figure of the Barbadian singer, actress, and uber-successful businesswoman.
The statue is notably inspired by the “Lift Me Up” singer’s 2020 Savage X Fenty Fashion Show attire as she’s seen sporting a purple bodysuit, thigh-high boots, and a floral cape. The figure’s hair was styled in a similar manner with a side-parted ponytail and braided accents.
The latest presentation appeared to draw mixed reactions from fans on social media. Many supporters warmly embrace the attempt, including one critic who noted, “structure wise n features are really good. color palettes n skin, not so much.”
However, not all comments were so nice. Several viewers felt the figure resembled other stars the likes of Lil Mama, Zoe Saldana, and even reality star Joseline Hernandez.
The “Work” singer had another unveiling last week when a massive billboard appeared outside of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris featuring the star and her glowing baby bump, sporting a leather skirt and an armful of Vuitton’s signature leather goods.
Grammy award-winning super producer Pharrell Williams, the creative director behind the campaign, celebrated the moment with a post on Instagram featuring himself standing in front of the giant poster. He captioned the snap, "Louis Vuitton Men, Spring-Summer 2024."
