People Are Questioning the Use of the Term 'Trump Bump' for Job Creation as Nordstrom Pulls Ivanka's Clothing Line

They're also applauding the department store for "taking a stand."
  • According to the most recent jobs report, 227,000 jobs were created in the month of January

  • Although many believe these jobs are a result from the Obama administration, some call the report proof of a 'Trump Bump' in the economy

  • However, the family name recently resulted in several department stores dumping Ivanka Trump's clothing line

According to a spokesperson for the department store chain, they decided to no longer carry Ivanka Trump's clothes because of declining sales.

“Each year we cut about 10 percent and refresh our assortment with about the same amount,” a Nordstrom spokesperson BuzzFeed News. “In this case, based on the brand’s performance we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”

  • Neiman Marcus also discontinued Ivanka's jewelry collection

No Ivanka Trump branded jewelry can be found on the site. Just earlier in the week, there were roughly 21 items from Trump's brand on the department store site.

  • the announcement inspired many who had previously boycotted the major department store to show their appreciation

  • The actions taken by these retailers prove that the resistance put forward by protesters can create real change

Also showing their support of Trump protesters are CEOs from Uber and Disney, who have both left Trump's advisory board amid controversy.
