Cardi B Reacts To Philadelphia-Based Starbucks’ Coffee Drink Inspired By ‘WAP’
It’s a “WAP” world, and we’re just living in it. Since Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion released their chart-topping, sex-positive anthem “WAP,” it has been at the center of the nation’s attention. The single was an immediate monster hit and has broken numerous records. Since then, “WAP” has pretty much taken on a life of its own. It’s been turned into everything from a PSA reminding folks to wear a mask amid the coronavirus pandemic to a Phantom of the Opera-inspired remix.
Now, a Starbucks based in Philadelphia has made a “WAP” coffee drink. A photo of a sign posted outside of the store, inviting guests to try their latest beverage, was shared on social media by a local journalist. “Come try out WAP,” it reads. The new drink is a concoction of white mocha, almond milk, and pumpkin spice, per the sign.
The coffee beverage was news to Cardi B as well, who was floored by the revelation. The Bronx rap star found out after she stumbled across a tweet from a local broadcast Philadelphia news station in which the anchors sampled the “WAP” and shared their thoughts.
“Wait. There’s a wap coffee?” she tweeted out in response. “Where the f**k I been at?”
