Rihanna Is Top 5 on Forbes’ Highest-Paid Women in Entertainment
Rihanna can add another ranking to her list of accomplishments. The 24-year-old singer landed at No. 4 on Forbes' Highest Paid Women in Entertainment list in a tie with talk show mogul Ellen DeGeneres. Rih Rih earned a cool $53 million this year from all of her performances, album sales, endorsement deals and other business ventures. She is the second highest-paid Black woman on the list with Oprah Winfrey still holding the No. 1 spot.
Britney Spears came in at No. 2 earning only $5 million more than the Barbados pop star. She also can credit her income to album sales and tours, although next year she'll have the $15 million contract with X-Factor to add. The show's newest judge is being praised for her tough love approach to getting contestants in shape. In third place came Taylor Swift, who earned $57 million.
Regardless, Rihanna has a great shot at moving up the list next year. She has her fragrance Rebelle, which she released in February, and starred in her first show, Styled to Rock, on the UK's Sky Living network. Her seventh studio album is scheduled for a November 2012 release, and its corresponding tour will launch in March of next year.
