Drake’s Father On R. Kelly: ‘He Has My Support 100 Percent’
Not everyone has dropped off their support for charged sexual predator R. Kelly, who is facing 10 counts of criminal aggravated sexual abuse and reported evidence of his alleged crimes piling against him by the numbers.
Dennis Graham, father of rap superstar Drake, is still standing behind Kelly amid the controversy. Along with updates on his son’s success, Graham elaborates on his support for Kelly in a new Variety interview, as well as Jussie Smollet’s legal situation, where details are still unfolding on Chicago police’s allegations that the actor hoaxed a hate crime.
‘He’s a good friend of mine,’ Graham said of Kelly…
After wishing him “the best” in his current sexual abuse case, the “That on That” singer expressed his discontent with the entire situation. He apparently feels there’s a motive behind victims who come forth in these types of cases as well. “I hate that it’s happening to him,” he added. “There’s a reason why women come out after the fact. He has my support 100%.”
As for Jussie, he extends the same support
He believes Jussie is simply misunderstood, and “they know that,” presumably referring to Chicago law enforcement’s claims that the Empire star staged his own attack. Graham said he’s still not buying it. “Jussie is a friend of mine, also,” he said. “They have totally reconstructed the story.”
