Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to Headline Coachella
Coachella has announced its full 2012 lineup, and, as usual, the California music festival is stacked to the hilt with top-tier talent. Perhaps the lineup's biggest surprise is the closing night headliner, which this year will be none other than Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg — two of the West Coast's finest.
Also performing at the multi-genre affair, which takes place over two weekends in April, are ASAP Rocky, Frank Ocean, Kendrick Lamar, SBTRKT, Azealia Banks, Flying Lotus, AraabMuzik Childish Gambino, DJ Shadow, LaRoux, Santigold, The Weeknd and many more.
The Weeknd, who has yet to perform a concert in the United States, will doubtlessly be facing thousands of curious fans. The enigmatic Toronto crooner made headlines today when he publicly sided with his friend and collaborator Drake in his ongoing beef with Common.
"That was the worst comeback I've ever heard," The Weeknd wrote on Twitter, addressing Common's recent diss verse over the Rick Ross anthem "Stay Schemin.'" "Sounds like somebody's drunk uncle."
Catch all the performers the weekends of April 13-15 and April 20-22. This is Coachella's first year spanning two weekends, both of which will share an identical lineup.
