Find Out How 'Boob-Biting' Got Azealia Banks Arrested
We've seen Azealia Banks fight on Twitter, but one security guard found out what it's like to scuffle with her in real life. The rapper and social media personality was arrested outside of a New York night club on Wednesday after she allegedly attacked a female security guard by punching her and “biting her in the boob,” according to sources.
Banks arrived at the club for a private party when she got into a fight with bouncers and was forcibly removed at 12:30 a.m. Police say she was taken to the Sixth Precinct on third-degree assault charges, a misdemeanor, and was held there for investigation until late into the following day.
This is not the first time Azealia has caused trouble in public. She was nearly arrested for an altercation on a Delta flight that was caught on video and was also investigated for allegedly assaulting a security guard at Los Angeles hotspot Break Room 86 earlier this year.
It appears her most recent tussle was the result of coming to an invitation-only party without an invitation. When she was told she had to have a stamp to get in, Banks flipped out, “screaming at the toper of lungs, cursing” and using racial slurs, according to a witness.
Strangely enough, she was eventually let in by a club owner, but that didn't stop Banks's tantrum. She continued cursing at the guards, saying who she was and that she is on Rihanna’s album. When the guards approached her once again, Banks allegedly spit in the female bouncer's face and bit her breast, almost breaking the guards shirt. A police source said the bite “caused swelling and redness.”
When cops arrived, Banks asked “Why are you arresting me?” before she was whisked away. Neither Banks, nor her reps, have commented either with a statement or on social media.
Hopefully Banks will stick to throwing shade, not punches, once she's sprung from jail:
