Lil Kim Taps Bangladesh to Executive Produce New Album
It's been nearly a decade since Lil Kim dropped a studio album, and for her latest effort she's pulling in a super producer. Bangladesh, the beatmaster behind hits for Lil Wayne ("6 Foot 7 Foot"), Beyoncé ("Diva"), Brandy ("Put It Down") and more, will helm Kim's fifth release.
The Queen Bee announced the news at New York City's Gramercy Theatre last Friday (April 26), where she performed. "He's executive-producing it," she told Wetpaint. "And we do have other producers working on the album as well."
There's also a new single on the way. "The first single that's coming out in late June/first week of July [and] is produced by Bangladesh for sure."
Stopping short of revealing a title, the Brooklyn rapper hinted that the song will have something to do with "sweet dessert." She also vowed to have a "lot of gifts" for fans, specifically in the month of June. "I'ma deliver, I promise ya'll."
Other than her own project, the 38-year-old is breaking new artists Tiffany Fox and Young Goldie, the latter of which she collaborated with on a new track titled, "1 Hunna."
Kim's new album is slated to drop sometime this year.
