Kendrick Lamar's Next Collaboration Is Somewhat Unusual
Until Coachella arrives in April, Kendrick Lamar is likely to stick to his usual under-the-radar fashion he's adopted while anchoring new studio projects.
But that’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy teasing fans with a preview of new bars every once in a while, which is exactly what happened after Rich the Kid posted a photo of the two to Instagram that has us wondering if this sighting will be followed up with new music.
In the flick, Rich and K.Dot are posed in front of a studio soundboard, with both relaxing comfortably in socks and a pair of slip-ons.
Upon speculation, we deduced the photo to be a mere visit from one rapper to the other, but Rich’s caption confirms exactly what it is we’re looking at instead.
“Blessed to work with [Kendrick Lamar] last night,” he wrote in the picture’s caption. “Yeah, dat way.”
Hashtags hinting at a soon-to-be music release from the pair followed the message as well. Considering that Kendrick's unexpected appearances beside A-listers such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Frank Ocean have proven to be nothing short of crowned successes, his collaboration with the Atlanta rapper should be highly anticipated. And, of course, there's the J. Cole joint project in the works that's got all eyes on Kendrick as well. Rich the Kid also doesn’t shy away from unlikely joint efforts himself, so there’s no telling what the two have in mind for fans next.
