Jadeveon Clowney is in the news for something that has to do with his father.
David Morgan, the father of the Houston Texans linebacker, was arrested and charged with attempted murder for a bar shooting in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Tuesday morning, as reported by ESPN. Morgan was also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Rock Hill police told ESPN. As of Tuesday afternoon, he was still in police custody and awaiting a bond hearing.
Clowney, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, was reportedly "highly upset" upon learning of his dad's arrest.
Morgan, nicknamed "Chilli Bean," was removed from a strip club after sitting on the stage, a police report said, according to ESPN. Morgan reportedly returned to the establishment, firing rounds at victim Braxton Homesley, who allegedly returned fire.
When police apprehended Morgan, he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the shoulder at Piedmont Medical Center.
