Thunder guard confirms news with heartbreaking Instagram post.

<p>Tragic news for <b>Dion Waiters </b>and his family.</p>
<p>The <b>Oklahoma City Thunder </b>guard won't be with his team for their home game against the <b>Los Angeles Clippers </b>on Wednesday because he's mourning the death of his younger brother, who was one of six people killed during three separate violent incidents in Philadelphia Tuesday, as reported by local new station Fox 29 and confirmed by <a href="http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14934483/dion-waiters-away-oklahoma-city-thunder-death-brother" target="_blank">ESPN</a>. No arrests have been made as of press time.</p>
<p>Heartbroken, Waiters took to his Instagram account Tuesday night to break the sad news.</p>

<p>Fellow Philly native and friend of Waiters <b><a href="/content/bet/topics/m/meek-mill.html">Meek Mill</a></b> spoke about the violence in his home city with an IG post as well.</p>

<p>Overall, it's been a rough time for the Thunder, whose assistant coach <a href="http://www.bet.com/news/sports/2016/2/19/monty-williams-forgives-driver-who-killed-wife-at-funeral.html"><b>Monty Williams </b>lost his wife</a> in a multi-car accident last month, only to be followed by the team's part-owner <b>Aubrey McClendon </b>dying in a car crash last week.</p>
<p>"That's how life throws it at you sometimes," Thunder All-Star <b><a href="/content/bet/topics/k/kevin-durant.html">Kevin Durant</a> </b>told ESPN. "Definitely unfortunate to go through it, but the only thing we can do is continue to stick together as an organization, as a family and help everyone through this. That's what brings everyone together. It's definitely tough for all three families, but they have our support and our love."</p>
<p>Durant added: "We feel for Dion, man. He's our brother and it's tough for anyone to go through that, and we have his back on everything. He's got our love and support throughout it all and he knows we're here for him."</p>

<p>The Thunder organization has experienced a difficult recent few weeks with assistant coach Monty Williams' wife being killed in a multicar accident Feb. 9 and part owner Aubrey McClendon dying in a single-car crash March 2.</p>
