It seems that actor Columbus Short is truly a gladiator. A bar fight involving the Scandal star is being investigated after the man he allegedly fought was sent to the hospital.
On March 15, Short was with a group celebrating a couple’s engagement at Gabe's Bar and Grill in Los Angeles. During the celebration the Cadillac Records actor was involved in an argument at the bar with another patron. According to TMZ, Short was angered by the guy, who reportedly made the comment: "You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want, including your wife."

An eyewitness said that following the comment Columbus went behind the 37-year-old man and sucker punched him, breaking his nose and momentarily knocking him unconscious. The same witness said that Short immediately left the bar. Afterward the unidentified man was transported to the hospital. 

The police are currently looking into the altercation as a possible criminal-battery charge. There is no word yet if an arrest will be made.
