MLB Investigating Reports Yasiel Puig Shoved Sister in Miami Brawl
Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is making headlines for a matter unrelated to his impressive baseball career as he just became the subject of a possible domestic violence case. The New York Daily News reports that a Major League Baseball investigation is currently in process involving the athlete after he allegedly shoved his sister during an argument at a Miami bar.
According to reports, the argument quickly escalated into a full-on brawl, forcing MLB to look into the matter under its new domestic violence policy.
Employees at the Blue Martini, where the incident occurred, told TMZ Sports that Puig pushed his sister, causing staffers to intervene and try to part the brawl. Puig, instead of cooperating, allegedly lashed out and got phyical with several staffers who were trying to calm the situation.
The bar's crew was able to get Puig, 24, to leave, but once he stepped outside, he reportedly punched the manager, causing more staffers to intervene to restrain him.
TMZ reports that the Miami Police Department responded to the scene but said that the incident was "mutual combat" with both sides refusing to press charges.
