Jodie Turner-Smith Accuses Joshua Jackson of Failing to Provide Support Post-Split
Actress Jodie Turner-Smith is making new claims amid her divorce from her estranged husband, Joshua Jackson.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the “Queen & Slim” star has accused Jackson of failing to support her in raising their daughter, Juno Rose Diana.
In her filing, Turner-Smith stated that the “Dawson’s Creek” star “promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother.”
Although the actress initially opted to “block the court’s ability to award spousal support to both her and Joshua,” she is now seeking both child and spousal support.
Turner-Smith and her attorney, Laura Wasser, are requesting the court order Jackson to pay $8,543 in monthly child support, $28,641 per month in spousal support, and $250,000 to cover legal fees until their divorce is finalized.
The former couple’s romance began in late 2018, reportedly after meeting at Usher’s birthday party.
They tied the knot in December 2019 and welcomed their daughter in April 2020. Turner-Smith filed for divorce in October 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.
