In the previous episode, Penny confronted Gary over his involvement in the disappearance of a childhood friend. Gary pushed her to the ground and she landed on her pregnant stomach. We open this episode with the blood mopped in Gary's office and no other sign of Penny.

The next day, Andi meets with Miss Marie Willis, who is on the warpath, about her divorce case and how it could impact her money. Hayden is lurking nearby, as usual, and inserts himself into their conversation. He has reviewed Marie's pre- and postnup agreements and points out that all assets in a trust established by her previous attorney are protected from lawsuits, including divorce. Hayden believes Marie should enforce those agreements. 

Marie immediately hires Hayden as co-counsel and tells Andi to cooperate otherwise she'll take her business elsewhere!

Andi shares with Fatima that Hayden wormed his way into the case and Hayden pops in. He's always lurking! Andi and I agree he can't find his own case and is deliberately trying to sabotage her. He argues she has a career as a future politician's wife, implying she needs the job far less than he does.

Sabrina, who later learns she was promoted to branch manager instead of fired, wants to do mocktails with the girls. All of them, including Fatima. This doesn't sit well with Karen, who doesn't appreciate how Fatima has infiltrated the Sista Circle. She believes all of her friends are being disloyal. Danni decides to invite Fatima, which is against Karen's wishes. In response, Karen invites Pam to join them.

Zac, ever the doting boyfriend, shows up to Fatima's office with lunch. These two are adorable. No wonder they got a spinoff! When she gets the call from Danni inviting her out with the girls, Fatima is hesitant since she knows Karen wouldn't want her there. Zac encourages her to go. "You may have way more in common than your amazing taste in men," he tells her. Fatima and Karen are going to be in each other's lives, so they might as well get to being friends sooner rather than later. 

Danni is the first to meet Sabrina at the juice bar, followed by Fatima. Karen walks in just as Danni tells Fatima she's officially in the circle. Uh oh! 

When Danni withdraws a flask to turn her mocktail into a cocktail, Karen calls her selfish. Fatima mumbles under her breath and this leads to a back and forth between the two of them. Karen calls Fatima out of her name and questions Danni's loyalty. Andi stops them before it gets too ugly. Karen tells Fatima "You can have my friends and my man," and leaves. Danni is over Karen. So much for the Sista Circle!

Andi and Fatima leave when Andi gets a call from Jordan, saying he has not heard from Penny. Andi panics and the two of them confront Gary in his office. They know Penny was onto him for his presumed involvement in the disappearance of Kimberly Potter. They demand to know where Penny is.

In the end, we finally get an answer to what's going on with Karen's amniocentesis, and one of our theories proved correct. Zac only fathered one of Karen's twins!
