Dr. Dre Has Threatened Legal Action Over Michel'le's Biopic
Michel’le’s biopic will air later this week and we know at least one person who’ll be watching it.
Dr. Dre is threatening legal action against Sony Pictures if they release the upcoming film Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me, according to TMZ.
The film supposedly will depict the alleged abuse leveled by Dre against his former fiancée. Dre’s legal team has sent Sony a cease and desist letter claiming, "Dre flatly denies ever abusing Michel’le” and builds their case on the fact she “never sought medical treatment or filed a police report” during their relationship.
When the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton was released last year, many wondered why Michel’le was largely absent from the film. She responded after seeing it claiming it “ignores several of N.W.A.’s own harsh realities.” Dr. Dre would later release a public apology for abusing women in the past. Michel’le later rebuked it, calling on the producer to apologize to each person individually.
Lifetime is slated to air Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me on October 15.
