For over twenty years, Nas has been a force in hip hop and an influence on generations of artists. Now, the New York native reflects back on his life and work in the critically-acclaimed documentary Time Is Illmatic
We've got an exclusive look at the film, written by Erik Parker and directed by One9. It chronicles the time since Nas dropped his seminal album Illmatic to the present day. Time Is Illmatic made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, bringing audiences back to the heyday of East Coast hip hop. In the film, Alicia Keys, Q-Tip, Fab 5 Freddy and many others offer their thoughts on the rap icon.
Check out our sneak peek of Time Is Illmatic below.  Catch the full film in select theaters on October 1 and VOD starting October 3.
