Ciara to Sign With SRC/Universal Motown?
Could Ciara be signing on with SRC/ Universal Motown after leaving Jive Records? Those are the rumors currently circulating the urban pop singer after she and her manager had a business meeting with with SRC Records chairman/CEO Steve Rifkind. Afterwards, Rifkind tweeted, "Just had a great meeting with Ciara and her manager. She is poised for greatness, really impressed."
Could his label be the one that resuscitates CiCi's career? Other links to the singer and a possible move to SRC or Universal Motown, both of which specialize in R&B and hip hop music, include:
— Producer Soundz was just hired as an A&R agent for Universal Motown in February. He and Ciara met after he produced her last flop of an album "Basic Instinct" and had been recently working on new material together.
— The label isn't scared of trying to revive the careers of fallen stars such as Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kane and Kelly Rowland.
