Just Wednesday, footage surfaced of Teyana Taylor scrolling through Iman Shumpert's DMs, where the thirst from women was more than real.

The couple laughed off the thirst — which included plenty of nude photos — and went along with their business.

But later in the day, the Cleveland Cavaliers' champion shooting guard got caught in a little controversy for trying to slide into a model's DMs.

Shump took to his Instagram account Wednesday afternoon and publicly commented on model Sarah Snyder's IG page that he was going to DM her.

[Warning: Snyder's IG name contains profanity].

Within minutes, Shump's IG followers and beyond began bashing him for the comment, bringing up Teyana and their adorable baby girl, Junie, while accusing him of trying to creep.

Well, the backlash was so severe that it might have prevented Iman from going through with that DM, as the Cavs guard quickly went on defense, making a public apology to both his lady and Snyder within the model's mentions.

Damn, Shump!

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, though, Iman and Teyana are heavy into New York Fashion Week and Snyder is a model, so this could have been all business and nothing even remotely shady.

But Shumpert should have realized how the internet was going to take that one.

Lesson learned.
