King Combs Interested In Sampling More Bad Boy Songs
King Combs is looking to use more samples that involve his dad’s stellar legacy.
Speaking with TMZ last week, the rapper and son of Diddy was asked whether he’d like to build on the previous instances he incorporated Bad Boy records songs into his work.
“You know, I only got two. I’m hoping to get a few more,” he noted about flipping Bad Boy classics. “I was lucky to go gold with the one with Teyana Taylor, and number one with the last one. So I might have to keep doing it, I don’t know. Usually, I try to stay away from the Bad Boy samples when I’m in the studio. [But] Kodak sent me one and then Teyana Taylor sent me one. I can’t deny it, you know what I’m saying?”

Combs is referring to his Kodak Black collab “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop,” which borrowed elements of Lil’ Kim’s “Crush On You,” and his song with Teyana Taylor titled “How You Want It?” which drew from Ma$e and Total’s “What You Want.” Both of the songs did very well commercially.
